OrthoKIN Mouthwash is intended for use as a daily mouthwash for all types of orthodontic brace wearers (be it fixed or removable braces). OrthoKIN Mouthwash has a combination of specific ingredients that make the outcome of orthodontic brace treatment more successful. The brackets of braces tend to harbour bacteria and make it harder to remove dental plaque during tooth brushing as certain areas become hard to reach. If harmful bacteria are not efficiently removed around the brackets, there will be a higher risk of developing gum disease and dental tooth decay. Braces also tend to cause some irritations in the mouth.
OrthoKIN Strawberry Mint Mouthwash contains an antiseptic formula that removes the bacteria that tends to build up around braces, while also offering vitamins and minerals that strengthen both gum and tooth tissue. Cetylpyridinium Chloride is the antiseptic used to control bacterial levels around orthodontic braces. It is safe for daily use, non-staining and offers effective plaque control to prevent gum disease.
The Fluoride content (500 ppm F-) strengthens enamel and makes teeth more resistant to tooth decay, which is especially important during orthodontic treatment.
The formula also contains Pro-Vitamin B5 and Vitamin E which offer soothing, regenerating and tissue-strengthening properties to the gums. This is especially important as gums may become irritated during treatment.
